What Makes our foundation special

Amina Dikwa Foundation (ADF) is an independent registered non-government and nonprofit Humanitarian organization founded by Dr Amina Mohammed Kyari Dikwa in March 2018. The organisation based in Maiduguri Borno State, Northeast-Nigeria. ADF prime motto is; “Reaching out to less privileged”

Amina Dikwa Foundation (ADF) actions are based on the values of solidarity, justice, human dignity, equal rights and opportunities for all people and respect for diversity and coexistence, paying particular attention to the most vulnerable segments of the population women, Youth and children are sole beneficiaries of our intervention. 

The Amina Dikwa Foundation is conceived to be an intervention agency that will conceptualize and execute programmes directly, partnering with other non-profit organisations or collaborating with special interests that share the same or similar objectives with it in realizing their set goals and objectives which should be within the general framework for economic, cultural and human development. Amina Dikwa Foundation also considers an integral part of an emergency response. Which include: Livelihood, Education, Gender Based Violence (GBV) and Child Protection with Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) to help individuals and communities to heal their psychological trauma and rebuilt social structures after an emergency or a critical event. It can help change people into active survivors rather than passive victims.

Amina Dikwa Foundation, through its own humanitarian operators, intervenes to effectively meet the needs of civil population in serious crisis situations by providing shelter for distressed communities, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support for IDPs.

Amina Dikwa Foundation envisions work to make sure we have reached to a world where everyone has the right to live better and safe, where all arm conflict and natural disaster affected children, women and young people enjoy secure, healthy, enlightened lives and responsive environment that promote their social, economic development in other to attain their full potentials thereby contributing to national development.

Our Mission

Amina Dikwa Foundation endeavors to unleash the potential and improve the living condition of disadvantaged, Empowering women and men, boys and girls to be protected, self-reliant for sustainable peace and development.  Vulnerable children to succeed in life through providing education, livelihood skills, Protection, gender development, health care and other emergency response.

Our Strategy

A sustainable strategy is devised to achieve the maximum, a need based and right based approach initiated ascertains the problem with fully community involvement and mobilizing all indigenous and local resources. The program goals are materialized with a helping hand from members, donor agencies, Philanthropists.

Objective

The overall development objective of (ADF) is enhanced ability in the target communities to tackle their own economic, social and environmental problems for sustainable community development.

  1. Building the capacity of youth for effective participation and leadership development
  2. Provision of psychosocial and counseling support for traumatized and conflict affected persons
  3. Increasing resilience and access to quality life for most vulnerable population
  4. Campaign on issues that have impeded the advancement of women and child right.

  6. Increasing access to and utilization of quality healthcare services by vulnerable population
  7. Empower youth and women to be self-reliant thereby increasing their standard of living
